Raining Babies

Ahem, let me start by clearing the air first... I am not raining any babies.

And now in other news...

Over the weekend I attended the most charming and adorable baby shower. It was babymantic! A mix between celebrating a momma-to-be and a romantic tea party setting. Everyone needs an adult tea party every once in a while. Especially when it's accompanied with a glass of bubbly. I thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed pace of the party and honestly... loved the absence of baby shower games. Sorry! The party was located at Renaissance Design and Renovation and graciously hosted by my very dear and talented friend who owns and runs Events to a T, an event planning company in Milwaukee. She did an outstanding job. Walking in felt like I should have paid for a ticket to this event.

Just take a peek for yourself!

Back to the grind

Hello lovelies. How was your weekend? We spent our Friday boating/fishing on the lake for the first time this season. Weather in the 70s!!! I know, say whaaa? Followed by an impromptu 30+ mile bike ride. Initially we were planning on a quick stroll past our friends house they're building and then we sort of just kept riding until we decided to ride all the way around Pewaukee Lake and back home. It's those moments together that bring such joy in our relationship. Sometimes it's easy getting caught in a monotonous routine with your spouse, so it's always exciting when spontaneity takes over; shaking things up.

How to take a vacation anytime.

Watching people come and go from their spring break trips has left me with a sudden itch to pack up my bags and follow suit. Unfortunately life doesn't always allow the opportunity to take a week long siesta from our daily duties and bask in the sun on a beach somewhere in Mexico. Although sometimes I'd like to believe it can...

Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

Smoothies are all the rage in this house. Not only are they a vehicle of good nutrition but they also satisfy those sweet tooth cravings. I swear we have them at least a few times a week. They're also great for post work out pick me ups and usually in that case I add a scoop of protein powder. Smoothies sometimes get a bad rep for being tedious when in fact they are very simple and fast. Today I'm sharing my favorite fruit pureed beverage, Peanut Butter & Banana Smoothies.

Easter weekend + links around the web

This week I lived the proverbial sick life. Extra tissues, decongestants and chicken soup followed wherever I went. Meanwhile work to bed and work to bed seemed to play on repeat. Talk about getting into a routine! But hippity hop peeps! Easter weekend has arrived and I'm not going to let some silly sickness get in the way of me indulging in Cadbury Eggs and Cherry Twizzler Bites.
